Tartu Art Museum’s collections hold over 25,000 works of art. These are mostly by Estonian artists and cover the period from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day.
The museum additionally also collects sketches, documents and photographs and has a library.
The museum holds various events and education programs.
Description
In front of the museum, there is one designated parking space for people with disabilities. To enter the building, it is necessary to either call the museum or arrange access in advance, as a temporary ramp (made of metal and in one piece) needs to be installed.
For visitors with visual impairments, some contrasting texts and descriptions are provided, but the font size may be small for easy reading. Many texts are placed behind glass. Overall lighting in the rooms is relatively dim.
No separate tactile text, tactile solutions such as a floor map or audio description have been provided. A short description for finding the location is available on the website.
