The site consists of the ruins of a 14th-century castle, accompanied by a Pilgrim’s House and a Medieval Experience Centre. Visitors can explore exhibitions on the castle’s history, knightly armour, Hanseatic trade, and an alchemist’s corner. Workshops and activities are offered for both adults and children, such as knight games, marzipan making, and writing with a quill pen.
There is also a pilgrimage-themed section, including a chapel, the legend of the “White Cross” miracle, and the pilgrim house. The chapel is not wheelchair accessible as it is located on a slope with only stairs leading up to it.

The site has a new building with an accessible toilet. Entrance is through the main building, where a wooden ramp has been installed, though it may be slightly steep. Inside the main building, visitors should note there are steps, but temporary two-part ramps are available to assist with access.
Catering is offered during the summer season in the tavern, and at other times for events by pre-order. The food is historically inspired and exciting. The main building features an exhibition of knight’s armor, and there is a children’s playground in the outdoor area.
