The Church of St.Simon in Valmiera is one of the most important monuments of medieval architectural in all of Latvia. It is allowed to climb the of church’s tower during open hours, and enjoy the magnificent view it commands over both the city itself, as well as the wider Gauja river valley. For all those unable to make the ascent, the view can also be observed on an interactive screen in the church hall, which broadcasts the video feed live from the spire.
