Description:
The circular 1,8 km long nature trail runs around the Valgesoo bog. Along the trail, visitors can observe bog vegetation, the “Baron’s Pine Grove,” and a forest edge rich with wood ants. The parking lot accommodates up to 20 cars, and there is a bus parking area along the access road. Of the trail, 1.6 km consists of a 1.2-meter-wide boardwalk, while 200 meters is gravel path, with information boards along the way. There are benches without armrests on the trail. Next to the parking lot, there is a campfire site and a lookout tower. The entire trail is accessible by wheelchair and stroller, and there is an accessible toilet next to the parking lot.

Suggested starting point:
Drive from Tartu towards Põlva, turn left towards Kiidjärve at Koorvere crossroads on the Põlva-Reola road (road no. 61), about 10 km before Põlva. Continue along the Akste-Häätaru road (road no. 18138) for 7 km, then turn right onto a forest road at the Valgesoo signpost. Drive 150 m until you reach the watchtower parking lot; the nature trail starts at the information board.
