The most significant building in the railway junction is the Gulbene railway station passenger building, constructed in 1926. It is considered to be one of the largest and most modern station buildings in Latvia at that time. On September 1, 2018, the educational and interactive center “Railway and Steam” was opened in the Gulbene railway station building. A tactile map of the station can be viewed at the museum.
