The first Riga Latvian Society House was built in 1869 according to the project of Janis Fridrihs Baumanis. In 1897 the building was slightly enlarged and remodelled according to the design of the architect Konstantīns Pēkšēns. In 1908 the building completely burnt down. The Society immediately set about rebuilding the building. The house was built according to the project of Eugen Laube and Ernest Pole and consecrated in December 1909. The Riga Latvian Society House has five floors and six floors on the courtyard side. It was the first building in Riga to be built in the neoclassical style.

Two disabled parking spaces are provided outside the building. Access to the building is possible with the help of a small, continuous rise. There is no information on how to get further into the building (the concierge is supposed to be available to help). The entrance lobby is spacious, clearly visible and has a smooth floor. The cloakroom area has a lift built about 3 years ago and is accessed via a gentle ramp. The lift leads to the ground floor level, where two lifts have been built to the 2nd and 3rd floors, corridors and public event halls. A concierge is on duty to serve persons using the lift. There are no dedicated wheelchair toilets on any of the floors.
