The Riga Contemporary Art Space was founded in 2008. It is an exhibition hall in the capital city of Riga, which focuses on contemporary art processes and significant phenomena.
At the beginning of the sidewalk on Kungu Street 1, there is a road sign in the middle that cannot be bypassed by people in wheelchairs. To get to the art space, I had to get over the curb with the help of an assistant. To get to the exhibition hall, you have to take an elevator or stairs, which unfortunately weren’t marked. Then, via a gentle ramp, it was possible to enter and walk around the spacious exhibition hall. On one side there were stairs, which were also partially marked, but people in wheelchairs could get to the top with a lift. There was no Braille description of the paintings.
