Description:

This city route starts at the Paralepa beach parking lot. Paralepa beach has always been a sandy beach with one of the warmest water temperatures in Estonia. To access the water front, one might need assistance with a wheelchair to go through the sandy shoreline. At the start of the route there is an accessible toilet. From the parking lot a wooden walking path leads to the beach and over a small bridge to a paved pedestrian road. The road then follows the seaside to the romantical old town of Haapsalu. The whole route is wheelchair accessible, but there is one uneven stretch. The last section of the path has many benches for a nice rest stop with a scenic view and the sea breeze. Overlooking the bay, one may spot many birds such as geese, swans, ducks etc. It is also a popular common place for the citizens to fish. The waterfront is not well accessible.
