One day itinerary in the Smiltene area

Highlights along the route:

The Tepera Lake promenade and beach. A walking promenade has been created here featuring various installations related to the history of the Smiltene Hydroelectric Power Plant. The lake’s maximum depth is 5.5 meters, while the average depth is 2.4 meters.

The Bird Tree at Lake Bilskas. The Bird Tree is one of seven AccessRoutes project sites that will be found at popular tourist destinations throughout Vidzeme.

Further along the route, you can stop for lunch and later stay overnight at The Park Hotel Brūzis. The hotel’s first floor features an accessible room for people with disabilities. There is also an accessible restroom. Parking for people with disabilities is available.
