After the reconstruction of the museum, all floors of the building are accessible for people with reduced mobility. The Latvian National Museum of Art regularly organises art exhibitions, educational activities and cultural events. On the last Sunday of every month, the Museum’s permanent exhibitions are free of charge. Following a restoration and reconstruction project, the new Great Exhibition Hall was created in the museum’s underground volume. New exhibition spaces have also been created on the attic and dome floors of the museum. Wheelchair users enter the museum through a door next to the main entrance. The elevator buttons feature Braille. Floor plans include tactile information and Braille. Guide dogs are allowed in the museum. Audio descriptions are available for some works of art. Acoustic loops are installed for visitors with hearing impairments, and tours with sign language interpreters are available. Informational materials are also available in easy-to-read language.
