Cafe “Pilskrogs” is located in the Castle of the Livonian Order, the history of which dates back more than 700 years ago. It is located in one of the castle halls, which used to be a pub back then. The restaurant is designed in ancient style, preserving the authentic furniture and interior elements. It is a nice and cozy restaurant with relaxing atmosphere, which is a perfect place for brunch or lunch, including a business lunch and a romantic dinner, or to simply get together with friends. The guests can choose between delicious and high-quality meals and beverages, including dishes that are prepared according to ancient Latvian recipes and that were served by our ancestors for various occasions and in various centuries.
Assistant is recommended for wheelchair users. Toilet inside the cafe is pretty spacious, but doesn’t have support handles. The disabled toilet is available in the main castle yard, but to access it visitors have to pass a quite rough cobbled path that can make it difficult to access the door with a wheelchair.
