In May 2025, a modern, inclusive beach infrastructure was opened in Apšuciems, created with the aim of ensuring safe and convenient access to the sea for everyone – regardless of age, mobility or needs.

What does Apšuciems accessible beach offer?

Changing cabin before the beach. Specially adapted for people with disabilities and families with children. It is located right next to the parking lot, and access is via a concrete ramp with a wooden boardwalk. The cabin is spacious, with easy-to-open doors and sufficient space for movement.

Accessible parking at the entrance to the beach is a specially marked parking space for the disabled.

A wide wooden boardwalk (20 m long) allows you to get right down to the sea. Convenient movement for both people in wheelchairs and parents with strollers.

An accessible toilet is located near the beach.

Floating wheelchairs allow people with disabilities to safely and independently enjoy swimming in the sea. Both wheelchairs can be used free of charge by booking them in advance by phone +371 26132761, pick-up is on site – at Apšuciems School.
