We are pleased to announce that the European Accessibility Resource Center (AccessibleEU) offers a new, free introductory course on accessibility of the built environment, available to anyone interested!
Course start and end: The course runs from November 11 to December 22, 2024, and the expected learning time is approximately 30 hours. The course is in English and you can learn it at your own pace.
What will you learn in the course? The course consists of 9 modules covering topics such as:
“Design for All” principles;
accessibility barriers and their solutions;
social and economic benefits in promoting accessibility;
user diversity and accessibility legislation;
procurement requirements and availability tools.
AccessibleEU is one of the most important initiatives of the European Commission proposed in the Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030. and organizations such as ENAT, EASPD, Johannes Kepler University of Linz, UNE, and Fundación ONCE as project leader are working on the course development.
