Vanemuine is a theatre in Tartu, (Estonia). It was the first Estonian language theatre, founded on 1870.
Vanemuine Concert Hall is a multifunctional venue that hosts concerts, balls, ceremonies, award galas, banquets, and conferences. It is a place where, in addition to beautiful music, wise thoughts and rich knowledge find a resonant space.
Description
You can access the Vanemuine Theatre (the Grand Building) through the additional entrance next to the Shakespeare café on Vanemuise street. There is one designated parkingplace next to the concert hall entrance from where you need to take the ramp going to the second floor, following the signs shown outside. It´s possibe to make pre-arrengements with the theatre, but during the performances the doors are open.
Assistance might be needed for people with visual impairment. Mobility instructions for visually impaired visitors are being updated. Audio-based navigation instructions will be added soon.
In the theatre, guests in wheelchairs may take their place in the stalls on the wheelchair platform. The toilet is located in Cafe Shakespeare. Please contact the attendant if you wish to use the restroom.
