The swimming area’s infrastructure is adapted for people with special needs. At Vecāķi Beach, special beach wheelchairs are available for use. The beach offers two portable beach wheelchairs designed to assist people with mobility impairments in bathing, accompanied by an assistant.

These wheelchairs have excellent buoyancy, require no additional tools for assembly, are easily foldable, portable, and stable. Each chair is supported by three wide inflatable wheels that also serve as floats in the water. The wheelchairs are equipped with armrests, adjustable to three different seating positions, and fitted with safety belts.

The beach wheelchairs at the mentioned swimming areas are available for public use free of charge. Assistants accompanying persons can collect the wheelchairs from the beach rescue stations from the lifeguards.

Information signs are placed at the swimming area, indicating the availability of beach wheelchairs and providing the phone number of the lifeguard service staff.
