Description:

Kaleste study trail runs in the immediate vicinity of the Kaleste campsite on the southern coast of the Kõpu peninsula in Kõpu Nature Reserve, and is marked with wooden signs. The trail starts and ends in the campsite, where you can see the trail map. There are 7 information boards introducing the sights. While walking one can observe various interesting plant habitats and ancient pine trees, and pick blueberries or mushrooms in autumn.

Although Kaleste campsite is not officially wheelchair accessible site by RMK, yet, the camping area and the small loop (0,4 km) of the trail are accessible and allow to enjoy a really pleasant rest near the sea.

The dry toilet at the campsite has a ramp, but there are no hand rails nor a special toilet seat inside.

How to get there: Drive 4 km from Kõpu to Ristna, turn left at the RMK campsite sign. Drive forward 1.4 km (keep left where the road branches into two) to the parking area.
