Cēsis Museum of History and Art, which is suitable for people with mobility impairments. The Cēsi Museum is not only an important custodian of the past values of the city, county and region, but also a visiting card of the city and a crossroads of modern cultural life. The Cēsi Museum is located in the very center of the old town of Cēsi, in the remarkable 18th-19th century. The Cēsu New Castle, an architectural monument of state importance, and together with the territory of the historical center of the 18th century manor house and the medieval castle ruins of the Livonian Order, form one of the most significant and romantic cultural and historical objects of the Vidzeme region and the Eastern Baltic.
The World Latvian Art Center is also accessible to people with disabilities. The center was created with the aim of promoting the preservation of art values created by Latvian artists who went into exile as a result of the Second World War and the new generation living abroad.
In the continuation of the route, you can go to Zvanu Cliffs in Cēsis. The Zvanu Cliffs get their name from the bells carved into the rocks. During the first independence of Latvia, Zvanu Cliffs was a well-known place, but after that this place was overgrown with trees and the rocks remained hidden from people’s eyes. The boardwalk along the Zvanu Cliffs is almost 360 meters long. The total length of the trail from the parking area to the foot of the cliff and back is about 900 meters. The trail to Zvanu Cliffs was built in 2017. The rocks are like a small outcrop of sandstone, and several springs flow from it.
It is 95 km from Riga to Zvanu Cliffs in Cēsis.
