Object list
To see the Lauči stone, you need to drive along the E67 highway in the direction of Ainaži. Then we turn left at the road sign. Then we go along the path to the sea to see the Lauči stone. It was pushed out of the sea by ice in the spring of 1853 with tremendous force. The length of the trail is 200 m, the width of the boardwalk is over 1.8 m. The path is linear.
It is 60 km from Riga to Lauči stone. The path to the Lauči stone
Next, we go by car to Vārzu beach. There is a tourist information point on Vārzu beach. Toilets and changing cabins have been created in the dune area. On the beach, an environmental object called Window is installed, a frame that opens a view of the enchanting landscape. The trail is linear, its length is 80 m.
The final point of the route is the Munchausen Beer Cup Trail. You go there by car. The trail itself leads to Baron Munchausen’s biggest beer mug – a former mill that has now been turned into an improvised beer mug. Along the way, you will meet the baron himself and many other wooden figures from Munchausen’s most popular stories. The museum next door has an accessible toilet for people with reduced mobility.
After exploring the trails, you can visit the Munchausen Museum
Behind Dunte, you can eat in the Latvian heritage pub Sidrabiņi
