Description:
The Port of Kalana was built in the middle of the last century as a fishing port. The port is located on the Kõpu peninsula. The port offers amazing views and during the summer season it’s quite busy, a restaurant is open and concerts are held there. There is no marked trail, one can walk around the harbour and on the short beach promenade. There is a playground for kids as well.

How to get there by car: Coming from Kärdla, drive via Heltermaa-Kärdla-Luidja road (route 80), drive until you reach Luidja, then turn left onto Emmaste-Luidja road and from the next intersection turn right onto Puski-Kõpu-Ristna road (route 136). Drive 20 km and turn left. Continue straight until you reach the port.
How to get there by bus: Coming from Kärdla take a bus number 651. The bus goes approximately twice a day. The bus stop at the port is „Kalana“.

Note:
One part of the trail goes alongside the asphalted road. The cars are driving at slow speed and there are not many (especially during autumn and winter), but one has to be cautious while walking along. Also be careful not to slip from the dock.
