The House of the Blackheads is one of the most magnificent buildings in Riga, preserving a unique historical heritage of the legendary Brotherhood of Blackheads and the history of Riga. The house was built in 1334 as part of the Riga Town Hall Square ensemble. Destroyed during World War II. The Soviet authorities completely demolished it in 1948. The house has wide corridors and no steps between rooms. Audio guides in several languages are available for an additional fee. Unfortunately, the stairs are not marked. In the basement, there are ramps between rooms. All floors can be accessed by elevator, which has Braille buttons and audio information about the floors. On the ground floor, there is an accessible toilet with a changing table. The museum hall also has a digital display that can be used by people in wheelchairs.
