Description
When arriving at the hotel there is one designated parking spot for people with disabilities at the back of the hotel for extra charge. The path to the hotel is smooth and the doors are wide enough and open automatically. The reception is open 24/7 and you will find an elevator inside to upper floors. The lobby is quite dim, there is a bar and seats that can be moved.
The hotel has about 5 accessible rooms, but they they can only be booked contacting the hotel, and also to get further information and room arrangements.
Door nmbers are marked on the floor in fron of the door in red.
The corridors are carpeted, while the accessible rooms have parquet flooring. The door stays open when pushed but is a bit heavy. Coat racks are placed lower, and the furniture is arranged differently from other rooms so that it does not obstruct the walking path. On the second floor of the hotel, there is a children’s playroom (carpeted), and at the entrance there is a threshold of up to 4 cm.
The elevator does not have voice announcements turned on, and only the call buttons are tactile. Additional information about the floors (e.g., business lounge on the 5th floor or playroom on the 2nd floor) is not available in tactile form.
There is no public accessible toilet on the first floor.
The Dorpat restaurant, with a view over the Emajõgi River, offers a fine selection of Estonian and international cuisine. The restaurant is one of the best in Tartu and has been recognised for its quality several years in a row.
