Description:
Carnikava promenade allows to enjoy a comfortable and pleasant walk through the pine forest to the sea. The concrete slabs of the promenade surface feature the Liv Road pattern concept. For the convenience of visitors, there is a number of resting areas with benches and bicycle stands, as well as information boards with health exercise descriptions inviting everyone to do a bit of gymnastics in nature.
The beach sand area is not accessible to people in wheelchairs, so it will not be possible to reach the water. Floating wheelchair services are not provided.
For visitors with movement disorders, there are two specialised wheelchairs available free of charge at the Carnikava Local History Centre (Jomas Street 7). One of them is suitable for forest paths, the other is a wheelchair transport bike, more suitable for cycling on flat and even road. Wheelchairs should be ordered in advance by phone: +371 29 128 086.
